Acne Medication that works but is hard to stop taking

I have been very fortunate throughout my life to never struggle with acne. However, I have seen the damage that it does to people, physically and emotionally. My nephew used to have a real problem with it. He started getting acne when he was about 17 and it was not too bad until about 18. Then it just became worse and worse. He tried every product on it from Clearasil to only very strong dermatologist recommended treatment. None of it worked on him. It got so bad that he began to not care what the medical information was about the product, just hoped that it would work.
Then he found a product called Nature’s Cure, which is just a normal everyday over the counter product, which for some reason worked. It was a cream and a pill, which you take twice a day. It was amazing how quickly his face cleared up and it looks like he never had acne before. The only problem is that he is afraid to go off it. He said he has tried to stop taking it, only to see his face break out so he runs right back to it. I am worried about the health info on this product, what happens if he takes it for 30 years?
He is almost 22 now and does not break out like he used to but still says he needs to product. Even though it says it is natural and does not harm his skin or body, he still needs to wean himself off it. I would think that he would stop breaking out soon, but he still believes he needs it.
